Super Spy Movie
It has been a long time in the making as we didn't quite get to this at the end of last year but here is the final animation that was created by Finlay (R8) and Caspian (R8). They have done an awesome job! Leave some feedback for them by posting a comment.

Creating Quality Animations
These are the criteria we have agreed on that we will use to assess the quality of our final product:
Our animation will be quality if:
- we have 30 still shots for each second of footage
- effective lighting and realistic background images and props are used
- it has relevant dialogue that fits within each clip
- we use authentic accents for our characters
- the meaning of the plot has to be inferred by the audience
- our main character shows the traits of a 'super spy'
Your task now is to complete the mindmap and then work in your teams to complete the storyboard phase of your animation.
I am looking forward to some amazing creativity!

Finish That Book!
It is great to see that you are all going great guns to get the book finished. I am suitably impressed again. Remember to spend some time on the paired reading cards and finishing the mindmap.
I will see you again on Tuesday.
Start collecting lego characters or figurines for our animations which we will do in the last week.

Friday Update
Sounds like the reading is going well but there isn't much happening on the googledoc or mindmap. Try and get onto this everyone! It is great you are loving the book but we do have a learning focus also remember.
We will meet on Tuesday at 2.30pm next week.
Once you have finished the activities you can read to the end of Part 2. Activities first!

Tuesday's Session
A great discussion about the book to date. James and Red Kelly are on their way to Scotland and we have a feeling the adventure is about to begin! I was impressed with all of your responses to my questions, you are all very capable readers.
Not much work done on the googledoc, we need to do this before Friday. We looked at the Mind Map too, give this a go. Remember no boring adjectives, use all of your extensive vocabulary. Remember to do at least one paired reading session a week with a partner. Give it a go with one of your friends, they don't have to be part of the YoungBond Club.
By the end of the week read up to the end of Chapter 15, 'Boy Racer'.
We will meet again this Friday at 12pm, be there!

Paired Reading and Google Doc
Today we did an activity called 'Paired Reading'. This involves the club members reading in pairs and asking each other a variety of questions from literal to inferential. Each day in class the club members have to do this activity at the start of their reading session.
The club members were also introduced to the googledoc and have set some goals to achieve before our next session on Tuesday at 1.30pm.
All students need to have read up to the end of the 'Red Kelly' chapter.
If you are asked for an email address when logging onto the googledoc, just put the one you gave me.
Ask questions through the blog, I will write a post if I need to reply.
